...I have nothing to say in main comm, so not whoring there but uh. Umeda's paid time and extra icons expires in five days. Can drabble if anyone can help? ♥ ;;
I, I'm afraid I can't write the Sohmas well at all, but hopefully this'll work for you?
***
When Axel first comes to visit, he takes Umeda by surprise and it's not as pleasant as either of them would have liked. Axel's a bit too eager, and Umeda's a bit too taken-aback by the interruption to a normal schedule. It doesn't get angry, but it does get awkward, the conversation flows unnaturally, it takes Umeda a bit too long to invite Axel to stay for dinner, and Axel is a bit too fast refusing.
*
Later Axel goes back and is waspish at Roxas. Roxas gets the truth out of him fast enough; they've promised themselves they'll talk. Whenever anything is wrong, they'll talk about it. Not make the same assumptions they always have. He doesn't think it'll make Roxas happy, and he's right.
But Roxas just sighs, rubbing at his head, gaze downcast. "Well, you can't expect him to be happy."
"Why not?" Axel asks, hurt. "We're friends, right?"
"Who knows what he's made himself think," Roxas says. "Maybe he's convinced himself camp was just a dream. Maybe he's forgotten." His eyes sharpen as Axel draws inwards more. "Maybe you just caught him off guard and he didn't know how to react. Not if he thought he'd never see you again."
"Maybe I shouldn't go back," Axel says. He's starting to get angry.
Roxas looks a bit melancholy. "Of course you're going to go back," he says, quietly.
*
"Sempai, what iiiis it?" Akiha's lazy and satiated, sprawled out on the sheets and poking Umeda in the side.
"It's nothing."
"Ahhh," Akiha says. "It's Axel, right?"
Umeda's eyes fly open. "How did you know about--"
"He and Roxas visited me once," Akiha says. "Well, Roxas did, and dragged Axel along. It was a bit strange," he admits, "seeing them out there, in my hotel room, but not bad. I'm glad they're getting along okay. All things considered, I mean."
"...All things considered," Umeda echoes in a low, grumbly voice, like he's not sure whether or not to be offended.
"Well," Akiha says, surprised. "You don't think anything'd have changed, do you? Axel's still Axel. Mmm, I think Roxas could do better, but we're happy with whoever makes us happy, you know? Whether or not we could do better doesn't matter."
Umeda rolls over and kisses him to shut him up. "Yeah," he says.
*
Axel does, eventually, come back. He lurks, crouched on the back of the sofa, eyes glittering. All knees and elbows.
This time, Umeda manages to talk around the uncomfortable thumping in his chest. "So, did--"
"I don't want dinner," Axel drawls. "That's absolutely not what I want."
"Oh," Umeda says. "What do you want?"
Axel watches him.
"...Can I have dinner first?" Umeda asks.
It's like a wall broken down; Axel blinks, and his eyes light, and he laughs.

I love your writing, so how about something with the KH cast + HanaKimi cast post camp? Maybe some Sohmas thrown in for good measure.
