((OOC: Everyone and their mother, including Akiha and Io, have dropped in this last little while; Umeda's indulging in his comfort movie. *g* Anyone can feel free to jump this post to catch the movie with him or harass him after it to cheer him up; this post isn't for anyone specific -- I just didn't think I could manage a main-comm post that might hit a few thousand again, but anyone's still free to come and bug Umeda. [looks him up and down] Of course I don't. My taste is fantastic. How're you feeling?

Well -- I feel okay. There was some . . . stuff. I don't know if it was camp or something else, but my arm's felt fine for at least a week. That wound on my shoulder is healed over too. There's some other stuff that might be more recent I want you to look at though.

Stuff, huh? Camp effect in general, or something personal?

All right, take a seat. Want something to drink? What's up?

. . . Both, kind of? It was weird.

Tch. [sits] No, I'm not thirsty. I got in a fight with this knife bastard a little while back. There's a couple of spots, especially this one on my side-- [gestures] I think it's okay, but I wanna start some serious training soon. Tenth'll kill me if overdo it.

You wanna talk about it or not?

Yeah, I get that. Especially if you're getting into a bunch of fights, you don't wanna fall behind, right? Okay, let's take a look. Don't worry, I won't tell you to do too little 'cause I'm worried about fighting or whatever -- I only want you in the best health to keep on winning and shit.

If I wanted to talk about it with you, I wouldn't be avoiding it.

Oi, shut up! This fight was -- it wasn't in camp. It's not like I go looking for these kinda fights anyway. [GRUMBLEY BITCHING, unbuttoning his shirt and tugging it off. There's a scattering of old cuts and gashes all over and one are two that are much more clearly knife wounds, most notably one on his left side. All of them look around two weeks old.]

Yeah, I'd noticed that but wanted to give you the chance anyway.

Hmm... how long ago did you get into that fight?

Tch.

Not too long before the idiot cow turned up . . . A little less than a week after you and Zexion set up that trap.

So what's the reason for the delay?

. . . There was a medic around right after that. I didn't really need to come see you for them since they got taken care of already.

[how bad/deep were the injuries]

Well, makes sense. Tell me if anything I'm doing hurts.

[Nothing damaged internal organs. Only one or two on his chest and side were serious wounds; those went deep enough to nick more major blood vessels ~~but not fatally so by shounen magic~~. Most look like relatively harmless gashes -- nothing terribly deep. Taken all together though it likely looks worse. lolo blood loss]

[checks 'em out, then sits back]

Looks like this probably hurt like a bitch at the time, anyway. It's healing okay, but you'll wanna give it another week or two before getting back to it since a few of 'em are pretty long and deep and might give you trouble if you do a lot of twisting or whatever.

Fucking knife bastard-- No twisting? I can avoid doing that stuff for a while.

No twisting, I'd avoid too many sudden movements, no lifting heavy objects... Ehh, basically, you can go about a normal person's day without worrying too much, but don't exert yourself all at once just yet. Work up to it over the next week or so. You'll probably find yourself getting tired more easily anyway -- work with it, it's not weakness, it's your body diverting energy to taking care of itself. So, build your strength back up but don't push yourself past the point your body can't work on fixing you back up.

Just a week . . . that's not too bad. I don't have to stop fighting those skate bastards though, do I?

Probably be best if you did stop for a little while. See what you can manage without overstraining yourself, is what I'd say, but that works best if they're willing to check their activities too.

Yeah right, like I'm admitting to those guys I gotta take it easy.

Okay, well. You seem like a smart guy, any way to drive 'em crazy while refusing to engage 'em? Acting like you're planning something big or something? Actually planning something big?

So, can't you play it up? Don't have time to engage with them, you've got more important things... get 'em all worked up and recover in the meantime.
